The festival is held from around 1:00 to 2:00 a.m. on the morning of April 13 until dawn.

The young men of the shrine play “okoshi-daiko,” a musical accompaniment consisting of flutes, drums (taiko and shime-daiko) and surigane, and each group knocks on the doors of the people involved in the festival to announce the beginning of the festival, sometimes accompanied by a lively shamisen (three-stringed Japanese guitar).

On the 15th, “Okoshi-Daiko” will also be performed at the Debanyama(the starting point).
