The festival begins with a kyogen performance in the morning in each group’s neighborhood, and the floats are pulled to Hachimangu Shrine from around 1:00 p.m., starting with the last float and ending with the first float to be pulled to the shrine.

The floats carrying the children performers are pulled into Hachiman Shrine, where they are dressed in formal costumes and pulled into the shrine grounds.

At this time, the young men of the yama-gumi, who are already dressed, go to greet the floats, and the grounds of the shrine become lively with the sounds of beckoning fans and the accompaniment of both bands.

In the evening, the floats lined up in the precincts of the shrine are beautifully lit by lanterns.

At night, the floats are covered with tents, and the middle-aged men take charge of the night watch.
