Kujitori-no-gi(Lot-drawing Ceremony)

The lottery winners (unmarried people) selected from among the young people visit Hachimangu Shrine at 1:00 p.m. and draw lots to determine the order of the floats.
The shrine is filled with the sound of young people cheering on the lottery takers and encouraging them with shouts of “yoisa” and “yoisa,” and the sound of fans hitting the latticework.
The cheering young people spread out their fans and wave them above their heads as they call out to the lot-takers on their way to and from the lottery.
At night, for the first time, the children who play the roles put on their costumes on the stage of the Hikiyama and perform a kyogen (comic storytelling) performance.
